Structured, transparent luxury interior design
Every Studio Kestrel project is built on structured process and specific deliverables — a design practice run with the discipline of engineering, and the transparency of a fixed scope from day one. We work with private homeowners, developers, and hospitality partners across New York City, the Hamptons, and Miami. Below: our approach, our four-phase process, and what a project involves at every scope.

OUR APPROACH
A consultation, then four phases
Every project starts with a focused working session — not a meet-and-greet. From there, our process moves through four phases, each with clear deliverables and defined handoffs.
BEFORE WE BEGIN
A 2-hour design consultation - $700
A focused working session where we discuss your goals, refine the vision for each space, and develop a detailed scope of work. This is where we determine whether Studio Kestrel is the right fit for your project — and where you get the clarity to move forward with confidence.

The 4 phases of an interior design project
01
Concept Development
Floor plans, palette direction, mood boards, and concept presentations. We refine through review sessions until the design story for the home is ready to move forward.
02
Design Documentation
Technical drawings, finish schedules, lighting plans, and furniture specifications — the level of detail trades and contractors need to execute without guesswork.
03
Procurement & Project Management
Furniture, finishes, lighting, art, and accessories — ordered and tracked through delivery. We work closely with contractors, architects, and trade partners through construction, so renovations and installations stay true to the design.
04
Installation & Styling
A full install with our team on-site. Furniture placed, art hung, shelves and surfaces styled. The home is finished and ready by the time we leave.
WHAT'S INCLUDED
The nine deliverables of a Studio Kestrel engagement
Not all items may apply to your project type. Your specific scope of work will be established at the consultation.
01
Floor plans and layout
Spatial planning tested for how light moves through each space, how to optimize circulation from room to room, and how you actually use your home day-to-day.
02
Finish selections
Stone, wood, plaster, tile, paint, hardware. Specified for how they age over time, not just how they photograph on day one.
03
Custom furniture & millwork
Built-ins designed to the room. Upholstery and case goods crafted in a palette of natural materials and refined textures — solid wood frames, performance fabrics, hand-tailored construction.
04
Lighting plan
Layered fixture plans with scenes — entry, dining, evening, sleep. Integrated and circadian where the project supports it.
05
Art curation
Original works sourced through gallery and dealer relationships. Scaled and installed to complete each space — turning a beautiful home into one that feels singular and unlike any other.
06
Procurement
Vendor management, ordering, tracking, and delivery for every item in the design. No procurement coordination for you to navigate — concierge oversight from the studio, beginning to end.
07
Project management
Close collaboration with contractors, architects, and trade partners through construction — so renovations and installations stay true to the design.
08
Installation & styling
A full install with the studio team on-site. Furniture placed, art hung, beds layered, surfaces styled, every detail dialed in.
09
Professional photography
Each completed project is professionally photographed on closeout. The home is documented and the family keeps the images.
PROJECT INVESTMENT
What a Studio Kestrel project costs
Project investment scales with three variables — the size of the space, the intensity of the renovation, and the level of custom work. The ranges below reflect typical Studio Kestrel projects; exact figures are developed once scope is defined.
For private homeowners, Studio Kestrel takes on full-home projects only — meaning we handle the entire home rather than a single room. Developer, hospitality, and commercial engagements are structured differently — see below.

REVIEWS
From clients and collaborators
"From the start of the project to any changes and all the finishing touches, everything went seamless. No questions, calls or emails went unnoticed and were met with immediate answers. We are still collaborating with Paul on present and future clients."
Amos Guetta
General Contractor collaborator
"Paul and his team brought an incredible vision to life in a new development lease-up. The staged units yielded a far greater return and led to record-breaking price points in the financial district."
